Fresh Beat Band Birthday Party

If your kids are big fans of The Fresh Beat Band on Nick Jr. then why not have a Fresh Beat Band Birthday Party Theme for them. Being there are currently no official party supplies available yet I will show you how you can get creative and put it all together right here.

So lets get our creative juices flowing by thinking about the show for a minute.  One thing you know for sure is that it is full of bright colors and the cast of characters Marina, Kiki, Twist and Shout have some favorites we can play off of and they are: Pink, Mint Green, Teal, Purple, Yellow, Blue, Orange and Green.  So we can start by finding some party supplies that offer that array of Bright Fun Colors.

My favorite choice for party supplies for this theme would be the Bright Dots Birthday Party Supplies which are full of fun Bright Colored Dots in all the colors these characters love.  So I am going to work around this pattern. Of course you can also use bright solid colored plates, table cloths & cups and being there are so many color choices to choose from you can just mix and match the solids to create your own look. Just think bright and colorful.

So now lets talk about your invitations. Now if you purchase the party supplies above you can also get matching invitations with that Polka Dot design and they can also be personalized with all your party information. Now if you want to kick it up a notch EBay is always the place I go and you can find some great Fresh Beat Band Party Invitations including the one you see pictured to your left from EBay Seller Twinkie Bounce Party Invitations. These feature color pictures of the cast and of course can be completely personalized with all your party info and in some cases even your child’s photo. You will also find that some sellers give you the option of printing them yourself once created so last minute planners can still benefit from the great designs.

Your Fresh Beat Band Party Activities are pretty easy – this show is all about expressing yourself through music – so of course you can not have this party theme without getting the kids signing and dancing. So I would start with getting some Fresh Beat Band Music which you can download at Amazon.  Make sure you get their Theme Song  and their Great Day song because all your guests will definitely know those being they start and end every episode. To add more fun to the signing and dancing – add in some Inflatable Musical Instruments and remember if you get enough that each guest will have one – they will double as party of your party favors.

How about a Fresh Beat Band Pinata? This pinata is custom made featuring pictures of the cast from the show. It is approx. 12 inches wide x 16 inches tall. Fill it up with some fun stickers, toys, fruit snacks, bouncy balls etc…  Instead of all that sugar candy try to think healthy snacks – you know those 100 Calorie packs fit in pinatas as well.

You can also break out your Twister Game – play the music and let the kids have some fun. Kids in this age group really love to play Twister and all those colorful dots match the entire party too!! Have your video camera ready!!!

Over at  NickJr.com you can find Fresh Beat Band FREE Printables, Games, Craft Ideas, Fresh Beat Band Food Recipes and more – so stop by there to see what they have to offer for the party as well. They have a lot to offer so take advantage of all the freebies you will find there. You can even print out some of these items and add them to the kids party favors to take home.  They even have Printable sheets with The Fresh Beat Band Theme Song Lyrics – that would be cute in the favor bags and again the are all FREE. Who does not like FREE?

I recently did a post on Designing your own Guitars which I think would be perfect for this party theme. This would be a lot of fun for this age group and they are available in Inflatable Guitars and Paper Guitars. With the Inflatables the kids would decorate them using Permanent Markers and if you feel that is too dangerous with the young kids then let them have fun with the Paper Guitars and using Crayons. And gain this party craft would double as a party favor.

Making any musical instruments at this party would be great and there are so many ways you can do that. – just be creative and do some research. It is also a great way to recycle some of those containers you may have piling up in your bin.

Now lets talk about your Fresh Beat Band Birthday Cake.  You can find some Fresh Beat Band Edible Cake Images available on Ebay if you want to go that way you can get creative in some other ways.  These  you see pictured to the right match the party supplies perfectly. It is an edible image that wraps around your cake. How fun is that? You can write your message on the top or add some printed photos of the members of the cast by printing them, cutting them out and adding a toothpick to the back and stick them in. You can even find some Musical Instruments or Music Note Cupcake Pics and add them to the top. Get Creative!!!

So now onto your Fresh Beat Band Party Favors. As I said above that if you do any of the Crafts or have Inflatable Guitars to sing and dance with that they become part of your party favor. Also take advantage of the FREE Printables at the Nick Jr site as well to save some extra money.

What I would do if you are using the Bright Dots Party Supplies is purchase the matching Bright Dots Party Favor Box then I would add in a few fun items.  Take a look at the Fresh Beat Band Party Items items available on EBay – I found there is a lot of items that are available and a lot of them are custom made and unique.

Another fun idea are these Chocolate Covered Rice Krispy Treat Guitars which are available to purchase on my website. These can be done in any color you want – just ask. You can have them done in various bright colors to match the theme. These Treats are HUGE and weigh in at approx. 4-5 ounces each, they come individually wrapped and on a stick and are made fresh to order. Best part – the kids love them – oh ok adults too! lol.  What I do when I use them is just take some curling ribbon and Thank You tags and tie to each treat. They are the perfect ending to any party. Take a look at some I used at my daughter’s party HERE you can also see a picture giving you a size reference.

So I hope I was able to give you some creative ideas to help you pull off a Beat Band Birthday Party and if you have had one and have some photos or ideas you would like to share Just Contact me!!!

Exciting News: Eileen one of my readers threw a Fresh Beat Band Party for her son and she was happy enough to share Photos and Details of the party right here !!!

I’d like to give a SHOUT OUT Thank You to Eileen !!!

Here ya go in Eileen’s Words:

Well, this past Sunday, October 24, 2010, we celebrated my son Nicky’s 2nd birthday with our friends and family.  The only show that really makes him 100% happy and focused is the Fresh Beat Band on Nick Jr.  With next to nothing out there for party supplies, I was forced to do my own and search the web.  I found Nicole’s “The Party Animal” website/blog and the ideas just kept flowing.  I am quite a creative person and got the ball rolling.

Here are my creations:

1). Sipper Cups: These were the craft sipper cups bought from Oriental Trading.  They have three inserts in each cup, so I went ahead and made a personalized Fresh Beat print out, cut and glued it onto the insert for an instant, cool cup.  The kids used these for their beverages at the party and were able to take these home with them as a favor.

2).  Centerpieces: I bought the Chinese take-out boxes from the party section at Wal-Mart, 4/$1.50.  I inserted the green floral Styrofoam into these boxes and covered them with paper shred.  I printed out the same picture I did for the sipper cups but larger and laminated them, using a zig zag scissor to cut out the image.  This picture was inserted into the “center” of the box.  I then put lollipops into each centerpiece for leverage and intended on giving them away as gifts at the party, but the kids just had a blast eating the treats from each centerpiece.  They were a hit!

3).  Favors:  Since we are talking about the Fresh Beat Band, I decided to go ahead with some echo microphones for part of the favors.  We also did some mini-chalk boards with chalk and eraser (since the FBB are in music school, cool) as well as a mini plush star that says “You’re a star”.  I put all three of these items into a regular white lunch bag, using turquoise scrap book paper cut to size for the bag topper.  In the center of the bag topper, I glued on an orange scalloped circle with a customized turquoise label stating “What a Great Day – Thanks for Sharing Nicky’s 2nd Birthday with us”.  I made sure to put the FBB logo on these labels.  On the body of the bag, I glued a 1/4 page print out of the “GREAT DAY” song from the Nick Jr. site.  I put all of these favors in an orange beverage cooler type bin with a personalized label reading “Great Day Party Favors”.

4).  Candy bags with custom made toppers: These were simply made with cellophane bags, candy, scrapbook paper cut to size with the scalloped circle again and personalized label.  All attached to the bag with some staples.

5).  Backstage passes: Printed them from the Nick Jr site, laminated them, cut to size, hole-punched and some curling ribbon.  Instant pass and favor.

6).  Cake: The cake was a store bought cake from Publix here in Florida with a customized edible topper that I ordered from e-bay.  If you would like the information on where I ordered this topper from, leave your e-mail address on this site.  She is a graphic designer here in Florida and is a gem.

7).  Shirts: I made some custom made shirts for both of my sons.  I used the cake topper image for Nicky’s shirt and made my other son, Brandon’s, from scratch, both using the design and print online free site from Avery.

8).  Snacks: I bought the bulk packs of snacks and put them in a basket, with a customized label hanging from the basket that read “Hip hop and pop snacks”.

9).  Punch: I made some punch and labeled it “Groovie Smoothie Punch”

The birthday party really was a “GREAT DAY” and we all had a blast.  I hope you can get some ideas for your Fresh Beat Band birthday party.
