Cheese Quesadillas make a Perfect Party Snack

If you are looking for a Simple snack for your next Birthday Party the kids will love then you must try this. Not only is it so simple to make, but it is very BUDGET FRIENDLY.  This is not just great for parties, but also an every day treat the kids love – I know mine do. So let me show you Step by Step How to make Simple Cheese Quesadillas.

Let me quickly add that this is yet another post from our snowpocalypse of 2010 – the second round. See what happens when you are snow bound. This was a lunch request from my kids so I figured I would document and blog it. I think I am driving them crazy by taking pictures as I cook and bake lately – lol.

There are many ways you can make these, but this is the way I do it and the ingedients I use in ours:

  • Large Soft Flour Tortillas
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Sour Cream – For Dipping

These are my ingredients – Shredded Cheddar Cheese (you can use any cheese you would like) Large Flour Tortillas and some Sour Cream for dipping. Salsa is also great for dipping, but my kids like the Sour Cream best.

I use a Non Stick Frying Pan large enough that my Tortilla fits in perfectly. I also give it a spray of Non Stick Cooking Spray just in case.

Add in one Tortilla to your pan and let it heat up a bit before adding the Cheese on.

Now you can add on your Cheese. I have no set amount I use – I just pile it on and spread it out. My kids love Cheese so I do not skimp. Most kids do love Cheese – and adults do too – like me ;0).

Once you have all your Cheese added on then let it cook until the Cheese melts. I move the pan around a bit and get the Tortilla moving to be sure it heats nice and even.

This is what all that Yummy Cheese looks like Melted – Yum Yum Yum.

Next step is to fold your Tortilla in half in the pan. Some like to cook 2 Tortillas at once – One on the bottom, cheese in the middle and then one on top. That is Ok too, but I think they come out much better this way.

Then Press it closed with your Spatula and then give it one more flip to make sure it is all warm and cheese is all melty in side.

My kids like to eat 2 each – so go ahead and make some more.

Now it is time to slice them up. I use a Mini Pizza Cutter my sister bought my son awhile ago – it works perfect. I cut each Tortilla into 4 Triangles and when cutting I start from the opening back towards the fold to avoid Cheese spilling out.  No one wants any Cheese getting loose.

Then I just take a small bowl with some Sour Cream and stick in the middle of all those Crispy Warm Cheesy Quesadillas for dipping. YUM. Then I call in the kids.

So I hope I have inspired you to make some Cheese Quesadillas at your next party or even just as a treat for the family. See how easy they are to do. For something so easy the kids really love them a lot. They would definitely be the hit of the Party.
