These Chocolate covered Maraschino Cherry Mice will be the hit at your Holiday Party with the kids, as well as the adults. Not only are they EASY to make, but they taste delicious.

Last year for our family Christmas I made these Chocolate covered Maraschino Cherry Mice after seeing them online. In my house we all LOVE Chocolate Covered Cherries so it was a no brainer that we would all like them. They were just too cute not to make and I will be making them again this year.

When I created them last year I took photos of the process step by step so I could share it this year, so here I go – You totally have to make some – Trust Me !!

Think of the possibilities of what you can do with them – You can put them on top of Cookies, Cupcakes, Cakes or just leave them just as is on a plate like I did.

Here is all you need to make these Chocolate covered Maraschino Cherry Mice:

  • Chocolate Melting Wafers or use the Saco Dolci Frutta Hard Chocolate Shell (comes in a microwavable container) that you can now buy in the baking isle of your Grocery Store
  • Maraschino Cherries
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Hershey Kisses
  • Wax Paper

Now watch how EASY these are to make….

Gather all your ingredients. Start by melting your Chocolate. Then drain the juice from your Maraschino Cherries and lay them on a paper towel to dry a bit. Then just take a Cherry and holding it by its stem dip and cover in your Chocolate. Place on Wax Paper. Then stick on two Sliced Almonds to the front of your Cherry for Ears. Then stick on a Hershey Kiss. That is it !!! I told ya it was EASY.

Of course you can add on some eyes if you like, but I think they look adorable just as is.

Here are a few of the many I made – Are they cute or what?

The fun is eating them – just grab by the tail, pop in your mouth and pull. Warning: They are addicting and you will not be able to eat just one.

Yum Yum Yum – I cannot wait to make these again this year. They are my favorite Holiday Treat, but I guess I can really make them anytime of year huh?

Enjoy !!

I really want to make these for my daughter’s class party, but I can’t use nuts because of allergies. Any ideas on what to substitute for the almond ears?

  3. Maybe use Brown M&Ms or another small round candy.
