Bring the Christmas Spirit to your Holiday Party Dessert Table with these Christmas Tree Cupcakes. Kids will go crazy for these SWEET Trees and I am thinking the Adults will too. So if you are looking for a festive Holiday Dessert Idea then this is definitely one of them.

So like I always do I am going to show you how to create these Christmas Tree Cupcakes Step by Step as I made them for the very 1st time. I think they came out great if I say so myself.

Now I created these Christmas Tree Cupcakes using Roundabouts Christmas Presents Cupcake Sleeves, they are super cute and make it look like all the presents are under the Tree. If you are not familiar with Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves I will tell you a little about them. They are Self Adhesive Cupcake Wraps that wrap around your Cupcake. They are so simple to use and bring that something extra special to your Cupcake. There are tons of designs available to choose from. Just Wrap It, Top It and Go….

Here is what I used to create my Christmas Tree Cupcakes:

  • Cupcakes of course – I used Vanilla
  • Vanilla or White Frosting
  • Roundabouts Christmas Tree Cupcake Sleeves
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Red Decorating Icing
  • Sugar Ice Cream Cones
  • Yellow Sugar
  • Mini M&Ms
  • Yellow Gummy Candy Stars
  • Mini Candy Cans (Not required – just for decor)

Here are all my supplies ready to go. The Yellow Gummy Candy Stars I was able to find in a mix with other Sea Shapes – so they really are Starfish Gummy Candy. I found them at my local Candy Store, but you can use any Candy Star for your Tree Topper if you cannot find them.

So first you want to color your Frosting Green, but set some aside uncolored for your Cupcakes. Then Frost your Ice Cream Cone with the Green Frosting. This can get kinda messy so have some towels on hand or just lick your fingers – lol. Once frosted you want to let the cones set up and the frosting get a bit hard before you continue on. You can stick them in the fridge for a while or let them sit out a few hours or even overnight.

Once Tree Frosting is set it is time to add some Garland using the Red Decorating Icing. Just swirl it around the cone. I actually put mine on a Lazy Susan and had my sister turn it as I piped on the garland. Next step is to decorate your Tree. Using some of the Green Frosting add some to the back of your Mini M&Ms and stick them onto your Tree. Using the same method stick on your Christmas Tree Star. Set Tree aside.

Now Frost your Cupcake. Then Dip top into Yellow Sugar and give it a good coating. Then Wrap your Cupcake with the Roundabouts Christmas Present Cupcake Sleeve. Then just take your Christmas Tree and Place on top of your Cupcake and you are done !!!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much SWEETNESS you will give me!!!

See How Easy they are to create and how adorable they turn out  – You can do it too!! So this year make some Christmas Tree Cupcakes and WoW your Guests.
