Hidden Valley Ranch Crackers Recipe – great Party Snack

If you are looking for an EASY Party Snack Idea that is tasty and different then you have to try out these Hidden Valley Ranch Crackers.

I had these crackers for the first time this past Thanksgiving when my sister in law made a batch. I was amazed at how yummy they were and everyone, including the kids, really enjoyed them. This is one recipe that will now go into my Family Recipe Cookbook and I had to share it with all of you as well.

It is best to prepare these Crackers the day before your party – so keep that in mind.

Here is what you will need to make these Hidden Valley Ranch Crackers:

  • 1 Box Nabisco Saltine Crackers (Cheaper Saltines will not work as well)
  • 1 Pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing
  • 1 1/3 Cup of Canola Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Ziploc Bag – 2 Gallon Size

Put all your Crackers into your Ziploc Bag. Then in a mixing bowl mix together the Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, Canola Oil and Red Pepper Flakes. Then pour it over the Crackers in the bag and rotate to coat.

Continue rotating the bag occasionally all day until the crackers absorb the mixture.

** Do Note – These crackers do have a little spicy flavor from the Red Pepper Flakes and the original recipe calls for 2 Tbsp., but my sister in law feels that is too much and I think she is right. The 1 Tbsp was just enough. I think if it was doubled the kids would not have eaten them. BUT if you like things a little more spicy then go for 2 especially if it is just for the adults. **

These are great for any occasion, party and would also be a great addition to your Super Bowl Party Food !!

Enjoy – I know I did !!
