Looking for a fun Cupcake Idea for your Kids Birthday Party? How about creating these Super Easy Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes using Roundabouts Ice Cream Cone Cupcake Sleeves. I am going to show you how to create these right here Step by Step – Sweet of me huh? I think so.

If you are not familiar with Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves I will tell you a little about them. They are Self Adhesive Cupcake Wraps that wrap around your Cupcake. They are so simple to use and bring that something extra special to your Cupcake. There are tons of designs available to choose from.

For this post I will be showing you the Roundabouts Ice Cream Cone Cupcake Sleeves. And as the Roundabouts saying  goes: Wrap It, Top It and Go… It is that EASY !!!

Here is what I used to create these Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes:

  • Cupcakes of Course – I used White Cupcakes
  • Frosting – White or Vanilla
  • Roundabouts Ice Cream Cone Cupcake Sleeves
  • Colored Sprinkles
  • Wilton’s Sour Cherry Balls
  • Decorating Bag
  • Star Tip

Here are all my ingredients ready to go. You do not need much to create these SWEET Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes at all.

First thing I did was bake my cupcakes of course and let them cool down. Then I gave the Cupcake a thin layer of frosting making sure to completely cover the cupcake. Then I wrapped my cupcake with the Ice Cream Cone Cupcake Sleeve. Once that was done I wanted a Soft Serve Ice Cream look so I filled a Decorators Bag with a bunch of frosting and using a large Star Tip I piped on my Ice Cream Swirl. Start with the edge and work your way to the middle and end with what I call the “Dairy Queen Tip”.

***Note – If you are doing the Soft Serve look like I did make sure to have extra frosting because it takes more than normal to create this.***

Now top with some Colored Sprinkles. I added a Cherry to the top of some since I love Cherries on my Ice Cream I thought it would be a fun touch. Wilton’s Sour Cherry Balls were perfect for this, but you can use real Cherries too.

And that is it!!! You have now created Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes without the mess of trying to bake a Cupcake in an Ice Cream Cone. Of course you can also create all the flavors besides Vanilla – Make some Chocolate and Strawberry for a fun variety !!!

I could not keep my daughter away from them of course – she dove right in. They looked great on the Polka Dot Cupcake Stand too – You can read my review on this stand here – Eco-Cupcake Stand – they are fantastic.

Tell me these Cupcakes would not be a perfect addition to any Kids Birthday Party or better yet An Ice Cream Party.
