Olivia the Pig Costume

So now it is your turn to go on an adventure to gather all the things you will need to create your Olivia Costume for your little one. Sounds like fun right? Of course it is and it is not as hard as you would think.

NEW FLASH: I interrupt this post to bring you some very important news for Olivia Fans everywhere. This is so exciting – Finally they have come out with Official Olivia Costumesand they are as cute as ever. I knew it would not be long until they hit the market. The costumes come with Olivia’s Red Dress, Striped Leggings or Warmers, Striped Shirt and of course those Big Pig Ears. Is that great or what?

Ok we will now resume back to the original post for those who would like to still create their own Olivia Costumes.

I came across this Olivia Dress Up Box that contains lots of items that are perfect for your Olivia Costume and Budget Friendly too.  In this box you will find a Red Tutu,  Red & White  Striped Leg Warmers, Ballet Slippers, 2 Red Bows, Crown, Telescope and a Safari Hat. Of course you also get that cool trunk to store it in as well when done wearing all those goodies.

The only thing missing is the the Red & White Striped Shirt. Believe it or not it is not easy to find one of those either so hopefully you may have one already on hand. BUT if you do not I was able to locate one which happens to be a Where’s Waldo Costume Shirt that would work perfectly.

If you like Olivia’s Dress then you can pair that Red Striped Shirt with a Dress like this Red Jumper Dress I found. This along with the shirt and some Red & White Striped Leggings will give you Olivia’s whole look. And again you may even have these in your little girl’s draw already.

So now that you have Olivia’s Outfit you will need to create a Mask to finish it off so everyone knows who they are all dressed up as.

Now this is where you will have to get a bit creative and crafty.  NickJr. has put together a How to Create an Olivia Costume giving you everything you will need to create a Felt Olivia Hat to top it all off.  With just a few simple supplies you can purchase at the craft store and using their Template and Directions you can create an Olivia Hat just like the one pictured to the left. How cool is that? When it comes to Olivia she has a very distinct look so any old Pig Mask will not do.

And that is it !!! Now that was not too hard was it? You can do it!!! Then you can feel so proud you put it all together yourself and in addition to that all of the Costume items can be worn again as regular clothing – I love that!!!
