The Party Animal’s Party Peep Spotlight is where I feature and interview other creative Businesses in the Party Industry. These are Party Businesses you may or may not have heard of before. Today my Party Peep Spotlight is on The Cavity Shoppe.

The Cavity Shoppe is an EVERYTHING CUPCAKE business “Where the Fillings are SWEET”. Based out of Staten Island, NY. They specialize in “Out the Box” Cupcakes including their 28 flavors to date (including 5 Alcohol-infused “Over 21″ Adult Cupcakes), Cake Pops, Cake Bites, Cupcakes in a Jar and regular round & sheet cakes. So I got to ask my Party Peep CK, the creative one behind all of these “Out the Box” Cupcakes & Sweets, some questions so we can learn a little more about her and The Cavity Shoppe .

So lets hear what she had to say with some Party Animal Q&A:

What inspired you to get into the Party World?

What inspired me to get into the “Party World” is baking! I actually did it for a hobby and once my Bakery where I had bought goods from for over 10yrs shutdown overnight I didn’t know what to do. So I decided to begin baking more and doing my Daughter Jailey’s last 3 Birthdays…. I then realized that there is soo much out there that I could get involved in, such as the “Party World”.

Do you have a Best Selling Product or Service? If so what is it?

Our best selling flavor: Red Velvet! We’ve been compared to “Baked by Melissa”, “Crumbs” & “Magnolias” (all well known/established Cupcake shops in NYC) by our Customers and from people in general. Our best selling product: Our Cupcake in a Jar! It’s exactly what it says it is…. It’s a cupcake cut into three layers that are put one at a time with frosting and toppings in between them into a mason jar and it can be kept for 2 weeks for guaranteed freshness. It also can be eaten right away, saved for later, take it on the go or even shared with someone.

Are your Products and Services Location Specific or Nationwide?

We ONLY ship our Cupcakes in a Jar, Cake Bites & Cake Pops throughout the states due to quality purposes. We ONLY deliver ALL of our treats to all five Boroughs of NYC and NE NJ for a small fee.

Why would someone come to you for their Party Needs? What makes you stand out?

I treat my customers’ (old/new) orders as if it were for my own daughter, husband, bff, sister….etc Therefore, when someone becomes our customer they know that they and their order will be treated exceptionally. Also, our Cupcake in a Jar Party Package is something that keeps our name buzzing around…. What you as a Parent would do is contact/hire me for 1-2hours for your child’s Birthday Party instead of those scary/creepy character (that most children are afraid of when they walk through the door) and I will bring cupcakes (of your choice of flavors, frostings & toppings), jars, piping bags and tips for each individual child for them to create their own masterpieces in a jar! This allows the children to be creative with their ideas and it gives the Parents time to sit back watch them in their glory, take a breather or take pictures. I then leave knowing that each child has their own creation party favor/cupcake and very happy with it!

Share one of your Best Party Memories?
I would say my best party memory would be my Cabbage Patch Kid “Amy’s” 1st Birthday. Even though it wasnt meant for me per-say but it was an AWESOME Party!

What is your Favorite Party Game?

My all time favorite party game is Musical Chairs; it’s just a fun game for ALL ages and requires just chairs and music!

What is your Favorite Party Theme?

I like Treasure/Scavenger Hunts, Magical & Movie nite themes for Parties.

Birthday Cake or Cupcakes?

Of course I will choose CUPCAKE over Cake…. They are soo much more fun and less messier!

What is one of your favorite things you like to send home as a Party Favor with the kids or see come home from a Party with yours?

The Cavity Shoppe’s Cupcake in a Jar I think is ideal to see someone come home with as a favor from a Party.
