The Party Animal’s Party Peep Spotlight is where I feature and interview other creative Businesses in the Party Industry. These are Party Businesses you may or may not have heard of before. Today my Party Peep Spotlight is on Jettabees.
Jettabees specializes in Custom Theme Birthday Party Favor Treat Sacks / Goody Bags. They are the most creative and cutest things you have even seen. I fell in love with them from the first time I laid my eyes on them. Jettabees sells all of their creations through their Etsy Store and they love to make new designs to fit almost any party! So if you want something special, then all you need to do is ask and they are on it !!! Now that is service.
So I got to ask my Party Peep Jaretta, the creative one behind all of these Custom Party Favor Treat Sacks, some questions so we can learn a little more about her and Jettabees.
So lets hear what she had to say with some Party Animal Q&A:
What inspired you to get into the Party World?
My children have been my biggest inspiration for getting into the party world! I LOVE creating their birthday experience every year. I fell into this business quite by accident. For my child’s 3rd birthday party, I made the Dora and Diego theme party sacks. I had a few left over and didn’t know what to do with them. Having started a shop for vintage things on Etsy, I listed the extra sacks hoping to lighten the clutter around my house. Soon after, I started getting orders and special requests for more. Before I knew it, I had started a business that has grown to my full capacity. I am so happy to have found a creative outlet, and I get to enjoy designing for all kinds of party themes!
Do you have a Best Selling Product or Service? If so what is it?
My best seller would have to be my space alien sacks. Perfect for Outer Space and Toy Story theme parties!
Are your Products and Services Location Specific or Nationwide?
Since I am selling on Etsy, my products are available worldwide. I find it amazing that my sales are rarely local (within my home state). I sell all over the US and have sent party sacks to many other countries too.
Why would someone come to you for their Party Needs? What makes you stand out?
My products are unique! Each sack is hand-made! The party sacks are customized to the party theme and not something you can find everyday. I can create a theme favor sack that you would normally never find in a party store. Customers are always saying that the party sacks they ordered were “the hit of the party!”
Share one of your Best Party Memories?
My favorite party memory would be the first party I ever planned: my 10th birthday! I had a Garfield theme and made an indoor skating rink in my dad’s storage barn. It fit my interests perfectly for that time. I had so much fun planning, as well as celebrating!
What is your Favorite Party Game?
I think scavenger hunts are the best! Kids love finding the clues to lead them to the next clue and eventually the goal. I have used it for my children’s parties from a Pirate Treasure Hunt, a trip on Route 66, a Dora Adventure, and a Bob the Builder Mystery. So much fun and adventure!
What is your Favorite Party Theme?
I have so much fun with all the themes! I like unique themes best though. For instance, my son’s Route 66 party was challenging but tons of fun!
Birthday Cake or Cupcakes?
Cakes – homemade, not store bought! I have always made my children’s cakes. They really appreciate the time involved. Never have they complained or not been extremely excited for their cake. It is usually the first thing they show off to their guests! I am not a professional cake decorator, but I have impressed myself. I believe everyone should make a cake for their child’s birthday at least once. It is so rewarding! The cake makes the party in our house!
What is one of your favorite things you like to send home as a Party Favor with the kids or see come home from a Party with yours?
I love to carry out the theme with favors. I like to give the guests something that will help them take the spirit of the party home with them. I enjoy nice, little toys that I would never buy for my kids, but all kids should have one during their childhood. For instance, bouncy balls, yo-yos, slinkys, backscratchers, etc to name a
few. Stickers are great too!
