Patriotic Cupcakes including Uncle Sam’s Hat Cupcake

So this past 4th of July I was excited to try out the Roundabouts Stars and Stripes Cupcake Sleeves with my Cupcakes. The Cupcake Sleeves, also known as Cupcake Wrappers, is the wonderful patriotic design on the bottom of my cupcakes. They are so easy to use and are self adhesive – so all you do is Wrap, Top and Go. There are so many different styles available to choose from, but the Stars and Stripes Cupcake Sleeves were a perfect choice for my 4th of July Party.

Now I will show you just how easy it was to create my Patriotic Cupcakes along with an Uncle Sam’s Hat Cupcake.

Here is what I used to create thee Patriotic Cupcakes:

Cupcakes of course – Flavor of choice – I made Vanilla
Frosting – I used Vanilla
Red Sugar
Patriotic Sprinkles – Red. White and Blue
Sugar Cookies
Colored Twizzlers
Stars and Stripes Cupcake Sleeves

Here it is all my ingredients less the Sugar Cookies

Ok so first what I did was prepare my Cupcakes. I frosted them, Wrapped them with my Roundabouts Stars and Stripes Cupcake Sleeves and then they were ready to be decorated. NOTE: I did wrap this one upside down – the Cupcake Sleeve – Really it does not matter, but I wanted the Stars at the bottom – so this was later easily fixed.

Next I dipped the tops of my Frosted Cupcakes into the Red Sugar.

I will first show you how to make the Uncle Sam’s Hat Cupcakes. You will need some Large Sugar Cookies (You want them to be larger than your Cupcake) – Make some or buy some pre-made. I had an issue with mine because I had bought some prior not realizing they would be too small and I had my sister in law pick me up some from the store on her way over. The Sugar Cookies she ended up getting were the big puffy soft ones, but I made them work anyway – I just had to cut them level on the top. Then you just Frost your Cookie and Dip into the Red Sugar.

Then all you do it sit your Cupcake on top of the Cookie and you just created an Adorable Uncle Sam’s Hat Cupcake. It is that Easy !!!

For my other Cupcakes I took some of my Frosted Cupcakes and dipped them into the Patriotic Sprinkles (Red, White & Blue). I also took some Colored Twizzlers and cut them up into small pieces and added some to the tops of the Red Sugar Cupcakes to add some Colorful Fireworks. This gave a nice variety for the Kids.

So as you can see there are many ways you can create your Patriotic Cupcakes, but they all look very festive for any Patriotic Celebration thanks to the Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves.

Another thing I found out later in the night when it came to the kids lighting their Sparklers – the Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves also made great Bracelets as you can see here.
