Arrr Mateys !! Looking for some Sweet Loot for your Pirate Party? How about some Pirate and Treasure Chest Cupcakes? These are so EASY to make and I am going to show you how right here.

Pirate Parties are so popular and even more so with the New Pirates of the Caribbean Movie just hitting theaters today as a matter of fact as I write this post.

These Cupcakes were created using Roundabouts Pirate Cupcake Sleeves and Roundabouts Treasure Chest Cupcake Sleeves (Available for sale on my main website). If you are not familiar with Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves I will tell you a little about them. They are Self Adhesive Cupcake Wraps that wrap around your Cupcake. They are so simple to use and bring that something extra special to your Cupcake. There are tons of designs available to choose from. Just Wrap It, Top It and Go….

I think they look great and the kids will go crazy for them, but best part of all is they are beyond SIMPLE to create – Anyone can do it and I am going to show you step by step. Here we go….

Here is what I used to create the Pirate Cupcakes:

So here are my supplies which are not many at all. The white M&M’s I purchased at my local candy store where they sell M&M’s by color, these are used for the top of the cupcake, but you can use any white candy such as White Smarties. I just thought chocolate would work better and be more yummy. Then I mixed up my Vanilla Frosting with the Red Icing Gel. Red is a hard color to create so using Food Coloring may give you more of a pink color so I highly suggest the gel.

Now look how EASY This is. Frost your Cupcake, Wrap with Pirate Cupcake Sleeve, Top with Candy and you are done !! Now how cool is that Pirate? Arrrr !!

Tip: If your Cupcake is not very round on the top you can add a little extra frosting to get more of a rounded head shape.

Pirates need Treasure right? Of course they do so the Treasure Chest Cupcakes and a perfect companion for these Pirate Cupcakes and once again they are very EASY to create as well.

Here is what I used to create the Treasure Chest Cupcakes:

  • Cupcakes of course  – I used the same Chocolate, but any flavor would work
  • Vanilla Frosting
  • Yellow Sugar Crystals
  • Roundabouts Treasure Chest Cupcake Sleeves
  • Chocolate Gold Coins
  • Colored Rock Candy
  • Misc Candies

Here are my supplies for the Treasure Chest Cupcakes. What is fun about these is that you can top them with whatever you want. I had Chocolate Gold Coins, Colored Rock Candy which I broke up off the sticks and some other Misc Candy I had in my Baking Cabinet. My Treasure Chest Cupcakes were truly a Sugary Treasure !! You can also top them with little toys and jewelry for the girls too  !!

Again look how EASY this is to do. Frost your Cupcake, Dip top into the Yellow Sugar Crystals, Wrap with Treasure Chest Cupcake Sleeve, Top  with Candy and you got yourself a SWEET Treasure !! Edible Pirate Loot for all !!

I would also like to thank my daughter for allowing me to raid her Jewelry Dress up Bin for all the Jewels for the photos !!  Thanks Sweetie !!

So if you are planning a Pirate Birthday Party then you definitely need to make these Cupcakes – don’t ya think? They could not be any easier to do and they look Awesome.
