I made this cake for my 7-year-old grandson’s bowling birthday party yesterday and it was the absolute hit of the party. I used red Twizzlers for the bumpers and a thin piece torn from a Twizzler for the line at the top of the break. Found some colorful round chewy candies for the bowling balls in the kosher candy aisle at Walmart. Bought a little bowler and pins on ebay-put my grandson’s initials in tiny stick-on letters on the bowler’s back. Used two pieces of knitting yarn to help guide the cuts for trimming the cake-I placed them over the frosted cake (measuring the inches from the side on each end to make sure they were even), taped the ends down to the aluminum foil, then sliced along the edge of the yarn to make the cuts. The whole thing was fun and easy (with a bit of help from my husband. Thanks for posting the pix and such complete directions!
