The Party Animal’s Party Peep Spotlight is where I feature and interview other creative Businesses in the Party Industry. These are Party Businesses you may or may not have heard of before. Today my Party Peep Spotlight is on Party Starters.
Party Starters offers Custom Kids Party Supplies, Invitations, Decorations, Favors as well as Custom Party Supplies for Weddings and Showers. Their attention to detail is amazing which shows in each and every one of their items. My favorite Party Collection they have made has to be the Hazardous Teen Birthday Party hands down. You can also find lots of inspiration on Party Starters Blog where they share ideas for all the events you celebrate in life, from Baby Showers to Anniversaries. Who does need a little Inspiration right?
So I got to ask my Party Peep Pamela, the creative one behind all of these Custom Party Supplies, some questions so we can learn a little more about her and Party Starters.
So lets hear what she had to say with some Party Animal Q&A:
What inspired you to get into the Party World?
When I first started creating party favors for my own children I had no idea there was such a market for handmade party products. I loved that I could create any theme imaginable and I love sharing these products with the world.
Do you have a Best Selling Product or Service? If so what is it?
My “Cake Slice Shaped Favor Boxes” were the rage at first, but after adding new boxes and product they all share their time in the spotlight. Some weeks my “Mini Gable Boxes” will be flying out of the store, the next week it will be cupcake toppers.
Are your Products and Services Location Specific or Nationwide?
Party Starters sells Nationwide and have recently found a home in a sweet little store in Madrid, Spain.
Why would someone come to you for their Party Needs? What makes you stand out?
Clients come to me mainly for the opportunity to customize their own party products. I think a lot of people are tired of the same ol’ corporate party themes. I also take a lot of pride in my work and will not let anything ship unless it is perfect!
Share one of your Best Party Memories?
My favorite party memory, well that would have to be throwing parties for my own kids. My parents didn’t believe in “Parties”, so I tend to go over the top for my children. I love hearing my children’s friends say “this is the best party I have ever been to”. Although the look of disgust from their parents who say “great how am I suppose to top this?” LOL
What is your Favorite Party Game?
I would have to say my favorite party game is Musical Chairs. I haven’t played it in a long time, need to incorporate it into our next party for sure!!
What is your Favorite Party Theme?
I am not really sure that I have a “favorite party theme”. Every party that I work on is my current favorite!
Birthday Cake or Cupcakes?
I go back and forth on birthday cake and cupcakes. I guess it really depends on the event and how many guests are there. Younger kids, cupcakes are a bit easier and for older guests a slice of cake works out just great! Either way I LOVE decorating cake, big or small.
What is one of your favorite things you like to send home as a Party Favor with the kids or see come home from a Party with yours?
For my daughter’s Fairy party the favors were also part of the activities. We made each girl a tutu, they made their own Fairy wands and necklaces, not only that they got to take home a bag full of goodies from the dessert table. Not one complaint and the girls absolutely loved it! Those are my kind of favors, the guest create it, take it home and it doesn’t end up in the trash a day later!!
