These Frozen Yogurt Push Ups can be created in any flavor combination and offer your party guests a refreshing healthy treat. In addition to that they are very EASY to make and I am going to show you how.

I have been having so much fun creating treats in my Clear Push Up Containers and this past Memorial Day I created these Patriotic Frozen Yogurt Push Ups topped with Fresh Fruit.

I created the Red, White and Blue colors using Blueberry Yogurt, Vanilla Yogurt and Strawberry Yogurt and I topped it off with Fresh Strawberries and a Blackberry. They were frozen and made for a delicious treat on what turned out to be a very hot day. The kids and adults loved them. I may have to make them again for my 4th of July BBQ.

So let me show you how EASY they are to make and remember you can layer any flavor Yogurts you like to create any color combination’s to match any Party Theme you may be doing. The main point is that they are a healthy option and kids love them !!

Here is what I used to create my Patriotic Frozen Yogurt Push Ups:

  • 12 Clear Push Up Containers
  • Dannon Greek Fruit on the Bottom Strawberry & Blueberry Yogurts (3 Containers Each)
  • Vanilla Yogurt – Had Big container – only used 1/2
  • Blue & Red Food Coloring Gel (to enhance yogurt colors)
  • Fresh Sliced Strawberries
  • Blackberries

Here are all my ingredients ready to go. I chose to use Dannon Greek Yogurt beacuse it is my favorite and I love the fruit on the bottom that you mix in, but you can use any brand yogurt you like for these. I also chose to use Fresh Strawberries & Blackberries as my topper and again you can use any Fresh Fruit that works for you.

I also took a shoebox to create a holder for my Clear Push Up Containers to make it easier for filling, as well as transporting them into the freezer. It worked GREAT.

Next I took 3 Containers of the Blueberry Yogurt and mixed it up in a bowl – I added just a drop of Blue Food Coloring Gel to enhance the color a bit since the yogurt is more of a purple color. I did not add too much beacuse I still wanted a more natural color. Then I added about a Tablespoon or so to the bottom of each of the Push Up Containers. Then I just shook each container to get it level. Super Easy right?

I then stuck them into the freezer to set for about an hour, BUT you can do all the layers at once if you like since the yogurt is thick. I just wanted to get a nice line.

I repeated the process above for the Vanilla Yogurt Layer. For the Strawberry Yogurt I again mixed it up in a bowl and added a drop of Red Food Coloring Gel to enhance the color and layered it on the Vanilla. (You can clean up any edges if you need with a paper towel if you get it all up the sides – so do not worry) On top of that I placed 2 Slices of Fresh Strawberries and one Blackberry. I placed the Push Up Container Covers on and stuck them back into the freezer to set up.

Everyone loved them – even my little furry baby Razor when one of the girls pushed theirs up too far and it popped out.  I let him get a few licks in before I picked it up – lol. I must say these were a great treat on such a HOT day and I felt good that I was serving something healthy !!

So now you have a great Treat Idea for your 4th of July Party or next Memorial Day !!
