Are you planning a Valentine’s Day Party? If so they why not have some fun Valentine’s Day Cupcakes to go along with it. Turn cupcake time into an activity with the kids and let them decorate their own to enjoy. All you need is some Baked Cupcakes, Frosting and you can find plenty of Valentine’s Day Candy available in the stores they can use to decorate them. Set them up at a table and let them pick and choose what they want to use for their SWEET creations.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to making Valentine’s Day Cupcakes. Some of my favorite Valentine’s Candies
for decorating are Conversation Hearts, Chocolate Hearts, Red & Pink Sugar Crystals, Heart Shaped Sprinkles, Red Hots and anything fun and in the shape of Hearts. The photo above is from a great blog called Cupcake Recipes and they feature some great yummy ideas for creating some Sweet Treats.
Let me share with you some of my personal favorite Valentine’s Day Cupcake designs – now I cannot take credit for these, but I know I will be baking some up in the kitchen this year!!!
This one comes from Better Homes and Gardens with powdered sugar sprinkled around a Heart Shaped Cookie and taken off to form a Heart – I love that. You can also get Wilton’s Valentine Mini Stencils that give you many designs that work the same way. Who Knew?
These cupcakes were created by Emily W. Vox and I think they are simple and adorable. Simply Red Crystal Sugar Sprinkles form the Hearts on the Top of White Frosting and really allow the Hearts to Pop. I really love these. You can also use any type of sprinkles to create this design so have fun with it.
These were created by Martha Stewart and just use Red Hots to create the simple designs of Hearts, X’s and O’s. Simple, Easy and Yummy. Now Red Hots are not always a kid’s favorite candy – so you can do this same look using Red M&M’s.
These were created by Wilton and are Cupcakes that look like Giant Conversation Hearts. The Cupcakes are shaped like Hearts using Wilton’s Silicone Heart Pan. You can also make your Cupcakes into heart shapes just by adding a small piece of Tin Foil the size of a marble into your regular Cupcake Baking Pan and when the batter is poured in and they are baked they will take on a Heart Shape. Frost and add special messages on the top!!! The photo to your right shows a regular Cupcake Pan using the Tin Foil method to make Heart Shapes and is brought to you by Family Fun. Now that is Clever!!!
