Betty Crocker’s Reese’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cupcake Mix Review

I received some new products by Betty Crocker in the mail today to review and this box of Reese’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cupcake Mix was one of them.  This mix is part of their premium cupcake mixes and they have a bunch of really yummy flavor choices including this one.

My daughter is a major Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup lover so you can bet she was extra excited to try these cupcakes. So of course I told her if she wanted some that she would have to get in the kitchen and help me bake them up. I was not at all surprised when she said lets do it right now.

So that is what we did and like most boxed cupcake mixes it was very easy to do. These did have an extra step after they were baked where you have to add the peanut butter into the cupcake, but they give you what you need and it was also very easy to do. Who does not like easy??? BUT the question is – Do they taste as good as the sound?

Well my daughter mixed up the batter and then we baked our cupcakes. They make 12 in total. We let them cool off as directed and then mixed up the Peanut Butter Filling included in the box with butter and some milk. You then place that into a pastry bag they provide and pipe some right into each cupcake.

As you can see it came out on the top of each cupcake a bit as well – no big deal really.

I was also given some of Betty Crocker’s Hershey Milk Chocolate Frosting to try too and that is what we used to frost our cupcakes.

As you can see in the photo my daughter was the first to sample these new cupcakes – so do you want to know what she thought?

She gave them two thumbs up. I also had a house of taste testers who all thought the same thing. So these Reese’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cupcakes get a great review from us and if you have a chance to try them out yourself you now know they will be YUMMY!!
