How to Make Lucky Charms Cupcakes with FREE Printables

If you are looking for a fun St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Idea then you have come to the right place. My Lucky Charms Cupcakes are just that – Fun and of course Magically Delicious.  They are super Easy to make along with my FREE Lucky Charms Printables and I am going to show you how I created them Step by Step.

The idea for these Lucky Charms Cupcakes were inspired by some recent posts I did on Lucky Charms Costumes and also Fun Leprechaun Ideas for St. Patrick’s Day. All the talk about Lucky Charms Cereal got me hungry for some, I love Lucky Charms, so I had to go out and pick some up from the store. Then I started thinking about my other favorite thing – Cupcakes. Now I have seen Lucky Charms used on cupcakes before, but I wanted to take it to the next level – so I created some Lucky Charms Cupcake Wrappers & Magically Delicious Clovers/Shamrocks to do just that.

When I put it all together I think they came out great just as I had imagined. So I wanted to share it all with you so you can make them for your family or St. Patrick’s Day Party.  I know how nice of me right? So let me show you how it was done…

Here is what you will need to create My Lucky Charms Cupcakes:

  • Cupcakes of course – I used White Cupcakes because I colored them Green, but you can use any Flavor.
  • White or Vanilla Frosting
  • Green Food Coloring or Food Gel Coloring
  • Lucky Charms Cereal (Yummy !!)
  • FREE Printable Lucky Charms Cupcake Wrappers & Clovers
  • Chocolate Gold Coins
  • Green Sugar Sprinkles (Optional)
  • Toothpicks
  • Tape

So here are all my Ingredients ready to go. Now I printed my Lucky Charms Cupcakes Wrappers & Clovers out on Photo Paper, but you can also use a Heavy Cardstock. I just wanted mine to have a shiny finish, but either would work fine.

I wanted to add some fun to the actual Cupcake itself so what I did was prepare my Cupcake Batter and put it into the Cupcake Pan. Then I added 3 dots of Green Gel Coloring on top of each of them.  Then using a Toothpick I swirled it around to make a fun Design. My daughter actually got in on this action and had some fun. The end result was AWESOME and makes a fun surprise inside when you bite into the cupcake vs, just your plain old Green Cupcake.

So while I waited for my Cupcakes to cool I cut out my Lucky Charms Cupcake Wrappers & Clovers. Then I taped a Toothpick to the back of my Magically Delicious Clovers so they were all ready to go. Super Easy !!!

Next thing I did was Color my Vanilla Frosting Green. Check out the Green Swirled Cupcake – is that cool or what? Once you frost your cupcake simply wrap it with the Lucky Charms Wrapper and tape together in the back. Now it is time to decorate !!  First I added some Green Sugar Sprinkles – I like a little added Sparkle and this did just that.

Next it is time to add on your Lucky Charms – I added both the Marshmallows & some of the other cereal and I alternated between the cupcake and my mouth (did I just admit that-lol). Then I just placed in my Magically Delicious Clover and added a Chocolate Gold Coin to the top. And it is done !!! I told ya it was EASY.

All Done and Magically Delicious !! Of course my daughter had to come pose with her Shamrock Webkinz – she is such a Ham!!!

My Kids loved the Cupcakes and of course so did I and the Swirled Green inside was really fun – forgot to take a picture of the inside – oops. And nothing goes better than a big Glass of Cold Milk with your Cereal Cupcakes.

So how perfect would these be at a St. Patrick’s Day Party or really any time of the year – especially for those who love Lucky Charms Cereal. But be careful those Leprechauns do not sneak in and steal some from ya !

If you create some please send me a photo to share here – I would love to see them !! Enjoy !!
